It’s Valentine's Day 1944 and at Union Station a young soldier is preparing to leave for overseas duty. Navy Lt. Neil Thomas says goodbye to his beloved wife Caroline Thomas, played by veteran Hollywood actress Betty White (The Golden Girls, Hot In Cleveland). He promises to return by their next anniversary but tragically, after his plane is shot down in the Pacific Ocean, he is declared missing in action. Caroline keeps to her half of the promise and each anniversary returns to the train station to wait for her husband. Nearly 60 years later, cynical television journalist Susan, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer) sets out to uncover Neil's fate and in the process falls in love.
