Based on a true story about peer pressure, media scrutiny and forgiveness, Girl Fight follows the story of 16 year-old Haley Macklin (Jodelle Ferland) as she navigates her way through the intimidating halls of high school. When she confronts the difficulty of becoming one of the “popular” girls she becomes frustrated by feeling left out and carelessly criticises the girls on a social networking site.

But when she least expects it, she comes to one of the girls’ aid and they strike up a friendship. Before long, Haley becomes wrapped up in all aspects of the ‘in’ crowd, ultimately straining her relationship with her parents Melissa (Anne Heche) and Ray (James Tupper).

When the girls finally find out about Haley’s online attack they decide to take matters into their own hands and issue a pay back and before long Haley gets her own unwanted Internet fame.
