Posted by DIVA Universal

From a Guinness World Record to the Emmy Red Carpet, the most talked about show of the year, Downton Abbey, swept up six awards at the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards today, including Outstanding Miniseries.

Veteran actress Dame Maggie Smith (Harry Potter) got the nod of approval, winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries for her role as Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham. Meanwhile, Julian Fellowes and Brian Percival both won awards for Outstanding Writing and Directing, respectively.

Set in an Edwardian country house in 1912, Downton Abbey portrays the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who work for them during a time of great social and political change in England. Secrets and sabotage are so deeply intertwined at Downton Abbey, while some opportunists are waiting for their moment to create a better life; others are desperately working to preserve Downton and the Crawley family.

You can catch the award winning Downton Abbey on DIVA Universal, Thursdays @ 11PM/10PM Th-Jkt.
